Bravo, magnifique travail! Le développement scénaristique est un peu pompeux pour une paire de chaussures mais la réal 3D est saisissante, cadrages, rythme, ... Nice job!

Nope not really "CAD".(like solidworks, catia and so on) - just 3D package.
Well pretty heavy, not as much as you might think, depending on you, and the software you use to prototype. But basically "cad" softwares are here to help designers, not the opposite. So I think ounce you're at ease with one soft, it's even funnier and fast, so really worse the beginning effort.
That's also why I personally use cinema4d, it's the easiest and fastest soft to learn on the marcket, then easy and fast to use in prod, so very creation oriented. Zbrush can help pretty much too.
